When planning your wedding ceremony there are a million-and-one things to consider: should you do the deed indoors or outdoors? In a garden or a chapel? Will you fit all your guests in the one spot? Will your dream locale be private enough?

It’s a toughie, especially considering there are an outstanding number of beautiful ceremony spots here in the West. Making the right choice can certainly seem a bit overwhelming!

But you are in luck beautiful brides-to-be, because we here on The Grange wedding team have scoured the Greater Western Sydney area for the best wedding ceremony spots. We’ve come up with a Top 5 for you to drool over and be inspired by. Enjoy!

  1. Auburn Botanic Gardens, Auburn

With 9.2 hectares of lush parkland and gardens of fairy tale beauty, the Auburn Botanic Gardens makes for a stunning ceremony choice for your outdoor wedding. Popular spots include the Japanese Garden (especially during the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in mid-August to early September), the Native and Rainforest Garden with its thick canopy and littered-leaf forest floor, the Scented Garden with its Undercover Wedding Pavilion and Reflection Pool, and the Sunken Rose Garden with its ceremonial arches and stunning David Austin Roses (best viewed between October and January).

  1. The Old St Thomas Chapel, Narellan

If you’re after a more ‘old world romance’ style wedding ceremony, the heritage listed Old St Thomas Chapel is worth checking out. Built in 1884, The Chapel has recently been restored to its former glory, complete with original stained glass windows and pews – and they will even ring the bell for you once the knot has officially been tied!

Unlike other chapels and churches, the Old St Thomas is non-denominational so you can bring your own civil celebrant or pastor to perform the nuptials, at any time of day or evening.
